1Permissions and what they are used for
Android asks you to approve access before an app can use certain features. Here is every permission HearIsai uses, why, and what we do not do with it.
Storage access
Storage Access Framework or media permissionsWhy: Scan your device for audio files to build your local library and play your songs.
Our safeguard: Only the music folders you explicitly select are accessed. No files are uploaded, moved or modified without your action.
Notification access
NotificationsWhy: Optional. Show media controls in the notification shade and on the lock screen, and keep playback in sync.
Our safeguard: Processed in real time on your device and never stored or shared.
2Our commitment
Your privacy is not just a feature; it is our foundation. HearIsai does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal information. We do not use trackers, we do not show advertisements, and we do not have accounts.
3Zero data sharing
Because we do not collect your data, we have nothing to sell or share. HearIsai does not communicate with third-party servers, analytics providers or data brokers.
4Offline functionality
HearIsai is built to work completely offline. The app may use a basic internet connection for system-level functions, such as checking for app updates through the Play Store, but your music library and listening habits are never transmitted over the internet.
5Security
HearIsai operates locally on your device, so your music library is protected by your own device security settings and Android's internal app sandboxing.
6Children's privacy
HearIsai does not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers or personal profiles, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
7Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect new features, changes to Android's permission model or system improvements. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
